Photo Restoration: Love Bugs

My friend Hayley asked me to "restore" this picture of she & her sisters to give to her dad for his birthday next month. She said he calls it a picture of his "Love Bugs"! So cute.

I made a folder on my desktop with pictures I've taken over the years and had the idea to "touch them up" persay to brush up on my photoshop skills and keep from getting bored.

Using Photoshop to restore photos

I'm not a photo-restoration expert, but this project was very challenging because I didn't want it to look like this:
(the colors are way too saturated to look "normal")
Janet, the "client" (tee hee) desired her mom to be in a picture by herself.
(The handsome woman in b&w).
An hour and lots of photoshop-ing later I got this:
